Food was great, we would definitely go back if we are in the area! I got the thin cat fish which I love catfish but never had it thin & crispy & my son got the shrimp basket & frog legs. He said the frog legs were amazing, tasted like chicken & his shrimp & fries were great too. The employees were super helpful too, my son added to the order several times & they were super accommodating to ensure it all came out together.

Cute and quaint establishment in northern Louisiana. Walked in not knowing what to expect as the windows were tinted it was something of a crapshoot. Turned out to be pretty good though. Bought the 3 pieces chicken basket. Employee gave me soda cup without asking (that's what I wanted). Chicken was good, fries were better, hush puppies were confusing and distressing. I was unable to process how to eat them. The sodas all tasted the same but ice was tasty. There was one ceiling fan that wobbled and looked as though it was about to fall. I was pleased to see almost an equal amount of black and white people. Overall good place to unwind and grab a bite. A real diamond in the rough

The fries reminded me of five guys somewhat and were the best part of the meal. The chicken would've been better if the breading would've stuck to the chicken better and if the tenders were more tender. The mashed potatoes tasted like hobby lobby. The hush puppies were confusing as it was my first time eating them, I guess it's just fried nothing. The water didn't taste drinkable. Overall, a unique restaurant that's a good spot for tourists to try.

They were packed and for good reason! I ordered 1 pound of boiled shrimp, which came with 2 potatoes and 1 corn. Honestly, the shrimp were so big I could've ordered a half a pound because I ended up giving some away to the other people in my party! The shrimp were huge! I had to take two bites per shrimp. Everything was boiled with a nice seasoning, nothing to spicy or Cajun. Just a beautiful blend of seasoning. It was served with a side of butter and you could grab Tony's if you needed an extra kick. We didn't wait more than five minutes and our buzzer was going off to pick up food. They had people standing standing at the door. They know how to get the food out in a timely manner! The restaurant was clean and orderly. The staff was working with smiles on their faces. And overall great experience!

We were driving through the area on Memorial Day and had a hard time finding a spot open. We called Catfish Charlie while at an empty parking lot of another restaurant and was happy to find someone answered. We drove over and found the restaurant next to a shopping center. The menu is up front and you order, get a buzzer, sit down, and grab your food. There are a lot of options from baskets to plates to burgers to salads. There are a lot of side options as well, including mac and cheese and grilled veggies. Hubs ordered a grilled shrimp po boy and had the option of popcorn or gulf shrimp and blackened or not. He chose popcorn, not blackened. The Po boy was delicious and the shrimp came through. It came with fries, a nice unexpected. I opted for the catfish strip basket which came with hushpuppies and fries. I asked for grilled veggies in lieu of fries and found the veggies had good flavor. The catfish was breaded in cornmeal and had a nice crisp. The hushpuppies are good, though I found the veggies as the better side. Service is efficient and kind here. I love the family vibe and friendly atmosphere. Definitely stop by!

11/25/22: We stopped by for an early dinner. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. They have a great menu, and the restaurant has a "down home" feel to it. There's plenty of parking available and plenty of seating inside. We had catfish and shrimp platter and it was pretty good. Would definitely visit again!
